Medan Power Plant is a coal-electricity IPP power project jointly invested and built by Oceanwide Holdings Co., Ltd., Power Construction Corporation of China and local companies.

It is located in Deli Serdang, North Sumatra, Indonesia with a distance of 25km from Medan in the south, and a straight-line distance of 9.2km from the Strait of Malacca to the east. This project is the only regional power supply project proposed by PT.KIM of Indonesia National High-tech Industrial Development Zone. It includes the construction of two subcritical 167 MW dual internal water cooled generator sets. The project plans to realize grid-connected power generation at the end of 2017.
