Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and CPPCC Chairman Yu Zhengsheng presided over the symposium of private entrepreneurs inBeijing on February 2, during which he extended his New Year greetings to theprivate entrepreneurs, and listened to the suggestions and opinions on the structuraladjustment and pursuit for development.

At the symposium, LuZhiqiang from Oceanwide Group, Zong Qinghou from Wahaha Group, Ma Huateng from Tencent,Zhang Jianhong from Dongyue Group, Zhang Xin from TBEA Corporation, ZhouHaijiang from Hongdou Group, Cui Genliang from Hengtong Group and Li Hanggen fromNingbo Tiansheng Sealing Packing Co., Ltd. delivered speeches concerning theimplementation of new development concept, structural adjustment, transformationand upgrading, innovation-driven strategy, law observance, good integrity,implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative, implementation of Made in China 2025, “Internet +” andbrand quality building, etc.

Yu Zhengsheng stressed that, China’s economic development had entered into the new normal, and it was confronted with slowdown in economic growth, structural adjustment and dynamicstransition, which was an inevitable process in the development towards highereconomic pattern, better division of labor and more reasonable structure. Itwas hoped that private entrepreneurs could fully recognize and master the newnormal in the economic development, have firm confidence and courage toovercome difficulties, and achieve new development in the new status. Theyshould actively implement the new development concept and innovation-drivendevelopment strategy, focus on the supply-side structural reform, cultivate newgrowth drivers, transform and enhance traditional growth drivers, expedite theindustrial development toward the medium-high end, increase the quality andenhance the efficiency of the enterprises. They should also conduct operation and management of the enterprises, and protect the legitimate rights following the principle of law observance and good faith, actively fulfill the social responsibilities, jointly build the sound relationship between governments andcommerce, and be a qualified builder of the socialism with Chinese characteristics.Party committees and governments at all levels should provide both guidance andencouragement, pay attention to the thoughts of private entrepreneurs, promotetheir healthy growth, help them overcome difficulties, enhance the formation ofthe policy environment, legal environment, market environment and social environment favorable to the development of private economy, fully mobilize the enthusiasm,initiative and creativity of entrepreneurs, give full play to their talents, andmake them devoted to the pattern transformation, structural adjustment andrapid development.

Member of Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Chief of United Front Work Departmentof CPC Central Committee Sun Chunlan attended the meeting and delivered aspeech. Sun Chunlan pointed out that, non-public sector should implement thenew development concept, firm the confidence to overcome difficulties, and playan important role in the structural adjustment, transformation and upgrading and enhancement of quality and efficiency. United front work departments and associationsof industry and commerce at various levels shall promote the policyimple mentation, protect the legitimate rights of private entrepreneurs, andmake contributions to the structural adjustment and economic development.
