The fifth session of the 12^th NationalCommittee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) wasopened at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on March 3^rd. LuZhiqiang, member of the Standing Committee of CPPCC and Chairman of OceanwideHoldings, attended the meeting.

At the opening ceremony, Chairman Lu Zhiqiang, togetherwith 2,133 members present at the ceremony, listened to and deliberated thework report of the Standing Committee of CPPCC National Committee and thereport on the progress of the proposals put forward at the fourth session of the12th CPPCC National Committee. He also attended the fifth session of the 12^thNational People’s Congress and listened to and discussed the Report on the Workof the Government and other relevant reports as well as the draft General Provisionsof Civil Law.

During the period when the two sessions are held,Chairman Lu Zhiqiang and all the other members will make concerted efforts to deliberatethe State affairs, put forward suggestions and convey public opinions in apragmatic manner by sizing up the overall situation.
