On May 14, MSCI announced that it would add 26 Chinese A-shares, including Oceanwide Holdings, to the MSCI China Index, raising the index's inclusion factor for Chinese large-cap A-shares from 5% to 10%.

The 26 A-shares include 18 ChiNext A-shares and eight Mainboard A-shares, including Oceanwide Holdings. The index review will take effect after the close of trading on May 28.

That brings the total number of stocks in the MSCI China Index to 264, with A-shares accounting for 5.25% of the MSCI China Index and 1.76% of the MSCI Emerging Markets Index.
