Oceanwide Holdings Honored on the “2017 Brand Value List of Chinese Listed Companies”

On the afternoon of March 31, “2017 Brand Value List of Chinese Listed Companies” was jointly announced by Tsinghua University Chinese Enterprise Research Center and National Business Daily in Tsinghua University, Beijing. Thanks to its outstanding brand value and influence, Oceanwide Holdings was ranked among the “Top 50 Chinese Listed Private Companies by Brand Value 2017” together with other listed companies such as Tencent and Alibaba.
All the 4,344 companies listed in A-share market prior to the deadline of December 31, 2016 were chosen, including all the companies listed in A-share market in the main-board market, second-board market and SMEs-board market of Shanghai Stock Exchange and Shenzhen Stock Exchange, as well as China Concepts Stock listed in the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Ltd. and overseas stock exchanges. The final brand value list was achieved through the evaluation of the business earning, brand ration and brand potential of the companies.
Looking back upon the development history in the past three decades, Oceanwide has gradually won extensive recognition following the trend of urbanization and real estate marketization, and actively enhanced the corporate value through strategic transformation in response to the downturn of macro-economy and deep changes in the real estate market, achieving gradual development from scratch. It has not only consolidated the existing advantages of the real estate business, but also expedited the growth of finance, energy and investment business. Meanwhile, under the guidance of the national strategy of “serving the development of substantial economy”, the Company mainly focuses on and makes investment in the industries with good prospects conforming to the future direction of industrial development, through which the Company has clearly determined the development direction and industrial layout, and gradually displayed the brand recognition and value of Oceanwide.
The Brand Value List of Chinese Listed Companies was formally initiated by National Business Daily jointly with Tsinghua University when the Central Government explicitly proposed for the “expedition of cultivation of famous Chinese brands” and encouraged some large companies with good operation performance to build excellent brands in the global competition. It was the first time that the “Top 50 Chinese Listed Private Companies” was released, aiming at helping Chinese enterprises have a better understanding of their development situation and tendency, and providing reference for their dynamic follow-up of the investment performance in various markets and the enhancement of brand management efficiency through the research on the brand value of the listed companies.
